Table Notes and Explanations

(Please refer to the table below.)
  • Select view: Major packages only (52) All tracked packages (226)
  • To compare the software in this project to the software available in other distributions, please see our Compare Packages page.
  • Notes: In case where multiple versions of a package are shipped with a distribution, only the default version appears in the table. For indication about the GNOME version, please check the "nautilus" and "gnome-shell" packages. The Apache web server is listed as "httpd" and the Linux kernel is listed as "linux". The KDE desktop is represented by the "plasma-desktop" package and the Xfce desktop by the "xfdesktop" package.
  • Colour scheme: green text = latest stable version, red text = development or beta version. The function determining beta versions is not 100% reliable due to a wide variety of versioning schemes.

Weren't able to use it on my daily driver which is Dell Latitute E5420 with 6 gigs of RAM. I am not saying it won't have it's uses but for me personally this Arch variation is well.... Subpar. I'm much more happy with AnARCHy installation on my daily driver.

Installation was simple and easy, didn't take too long.
When I first booted up, i updated all the packages, but a package had a conflict (JS52: File already in the system), so that's not optimal.
Other than that the system works fine, some bugs here and there.
It's fast, has the necessary apps to boot, and looks good

First what I thinked was:
"WHAT A STUPID NAME FOR A DISTRO!"
But I had problems with installer of another popular Arch based distro, and didn't want to mess with console installation of Arch.
SwagArch has got Live ISO so I decided to give it a spin, and after that I may say:
This is it what I was looking for.
The arch based distro with live installer, where every thing just works.
Only cons which I found are that when I use fn shortcuts for changing brightness or volume, it changes normal, but with no screen indicator. IMHO no problem.

I wasn't huge fan of XFCE - but what SwagArch team did with it, is more than satysfying.
Stock white theme is beautiful, and if switch to the dark theme it's even better.
And it's so damn fast!
I've got a gaming notebook, but it's huge speed incrase from gnome.

This distro definetely needs more attention from a community, better site and I think it has got potential to be in top three of Arch based distros.

Long live SwagArch!
