Table Notes and Explanations

(Please refer to the table below.)
  • Select view: Major packages only (52) All tracked packages (226)
  • To compare the software in this project to the software available in other distributions, please see our Compare Packages page.
  • Notes: In case where multiple versions of a package are shipped with a distribution, only the default version appears in the table. For indication about the GNOME version, please check the "nautilus" and "gnome-shell" packages. The Apache web server is listed as "httpd" and the Linux kernel is listed as "linux". The KDE desktop is represented by the "plasma-desktop" package and the Xfce desktop by the "xfdesktop" package.
  • Colour scheme: green text = latest stable version, red text = development or beta version. The function determining beta versions is not 100% reliable due to a wide variety of versioning schemes.

Perrot is very good and safe, but anonsurf only works a few times so you can do everything without anything working, thereby also problems with the internet. therefore I deleted the root.
if you now had a more stable ip change so you could surf anonymously. So perrot would be my absolute favorite.
since you are not an expert and do not need so much hacking, a light perrot version would be preferable, but still as a secured version and with anonproxy, anonsurf, or just i2p and with Tor.
Perrot search site works well and could be a stand alone version like Opera just with multiple choices.
My 9 figure is for security

It uses the their dns server..It is somehow hardcoded.Very difficult to change even via nmcli or resolv.conf.
I had to disable and mask systemd-networkd, resolvconf and maybe also dnsmasq--if I remember correctly-- to be able to set my dns of choice via nmcli.
Everything you do will be visible by Parrot.
Do you want that?
Also it doesnt poweroff but it HIBERNATES.
Even if I remove "quiet" from /etc/default/grub and update-grub, it keeps booting graphically.
Generally I get a "windowsy" feeling of things and configs being forced upon you.
I dont trust it.
I just deleted it.
