Pardus is a GNU/Linux distribution jointly developed by the Scientific & Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) and National Academic Network and Information Centre (ULAKBİM). It started its life as a Gentoo-based project before developing its own unique identity. Since late 2012 the distribution, developed in two separate branches as "Corporate" and "Community" editions, is based on Debian. This page focuses on the Corporate version of Pardus.

It is a distribution that lags behind because it uses the stable version of Debian. All software included is 2 years old. Even though we warned the distribution owners many times, they do not innovate at all. Yes, this distribution is made in my own country, but it is a distribution that I would never install on my computer. If one day he gives up his stubbornness and follows the innovations, I may consider reinstalling it, but in this state it will continue to be used only in government institutions. It cannot reach the end user. Hey pardus, are you open to criticism?

Terrible... I couldn't connect my bluetooth headset in any way. He has closed source software in his warehouse. It does not comply with the Linux principles. Lightdm problems are happening a lot, the screen goes back and forth sometimes. Although there are solutions to the problems, these solutions are not integrated into the system by the developers.

No one has responded to the problems I have written on the Pardus Forum, there is no concept of community. I wanted to inform the developers about the solutions to the problems, but I couldn't reach the developers in any way.

Excelente alternativa a debian y linux mint.

Tiene synaptic de vastos repositorios.

Instalacion rapida y facil. Distribucion con xfce ligera.

Instale los paquetes con apt. Despues instale xanmod.

Una vez mas configurada opte por instalar cinnamon.

Reacciona rapido a los clicks. Me gusto. Tambien probe su prima Pisi. Pero de pocos paquetes.

Sin duda es una excelente distro, pero se tiene que hacer destacar, me gustaria una opcion con sysv o runit.

Tiene potencial futuro aunque debe evitar parecerse a devuan.

No le vi ninguna consecuencia, es estable como debian. Es divertido personalizarla.
