I tried the XFCE version (which not an official release anymore but I heard from the team that they're going to get it back on track) and it was really great. If you want a stable and fast operating system, give parch a try. Default apps are very close to most of the desktop distributions (inspired by Linux Mint supposedly) and you can start using your Parch GNU/Linux installation from the moment you install it on your computer.
