Lightweight: Mint Cinnamon uses little RAM (about 800MB at the start), applications are running fast, and it also provides good experience on old computers.
It's very intuitive. It's easy to customize, install or uninstall applications, update.
For education, although designed for students and teachers, it has interesting applications for any home. Poor at games. It has a number of applications related to learning subjects: typing, chemistry, geography, mathematics, programming, mental and conceptual maps... all of which work unconnected thinking about students who don't have the Internet at home. On the other hand, it has many tools to learn how to do: text, artistic image, vector and technical, audio and video editing, music composition, transmission... You can access the domain of the Windows server usually held by public schools, know the users of that domain, and use the folder (students, teachers, administration, NoBackup) that belongs to each of them.
Basque: the system can be installed in more than a hundred languages, but it is especially monitored that almost all applications are in Basque. To do this, those of us behind Luberri have translated countless applications into Basque.
