Great security system. Installation is very simple. But the choice is between super security or Google Payments. I chose security (because I pay with another program anyway) and haven't noticed any bugs in my daily life. I have version 2025092700 installed on my Pixel 9 Pro XL. Patches are very frequent, sometimes once or more a week, so the project is well-maintained. Apps can be installed from the Google Play Store, and Google Camera also works great. I recommend it to those who care about security at all costs.
I'm pretty fond of it, works great compared to other distros I tried in the past and almost none offer the same stability and almost oem experience, the gms sandbox also works great not even mentioning the network permission being accessible and able to toggle it on or off and one addition to be mentioned is the USB functionality being limited to power or none without user input biometrics + pwd and that's amazing. Only for these I'd rate it one of the best and I don't even mention the overflow patchs, ota security patches almost in perfect time with android security buletin being updated. One of the best projects for anyone valuate their own privacy and security.
After months of using GrapheneOS on my Pixel 8, I can confidently say this represents a paradigm shift in mobile security.
The system is amazingly convenient and secure. GrapheneOS implements security measures that stock Android simply doesn't offer. The hardened malloc, enhanced verified boot, and network permission controls create multiple layers of protection. The system's approach to sandboxing and permission management is significantly more granular than vanilla Android.
The installation is so straightforward that anyone who just learned to turn on a computer could handle it. I maintain separate profiles for work, personal use, and high-risk activities (banking, sensitive communications). Each profile operates as an isolated environment with its own app ecosystem, preventing cross-contamination between different use cases. No more worrying about a compromised social media app accessing work data. The fingerprint + PIN combination strikes the perfect balance between convenience and security.
