It has earned a permanent place as my daily driver. The installation through Calamares was smooth and stress-free. It gives you enough choices to feel in control without overwhelming you. What really stands out is how clean the system is. There’s no unnecessary bloat, no forced apps, and no heavy custom tweaks. You get a solid Arch base with sensible defaults, and from there, it’s completely up to you how you shape your system. Performance has been excellent. The system is fast, responsive, and surprisingly stable for a rolling release. Hardware was detected without any trouble, drivers worked out of the box, and everything I do daily — including gaming — runs flawlessly. Having direct access to the Arch repos and the AUR (with yay already set up) makes installing software incredibly easy. The community deserves special mention. The forums are welcoming and helpful, with none of the elitism you sometimes see elsewhere. Combined with the Arch Wiki, finding solutions is rarely difficult and often enjoyable. Overall, EndeavourOS delivers the power and flexibility of Arch Linux without the painful setup process. It trusts the user, stays out of the way, and lets you build exactly the system you want. Tengo una portátil de más de 15 años y no tuve inconvenientes para instalar xfce y detectó automáticamente mi wifi, cosa que no había sucedido con otras instalaciones que había hecho en el pasado. El instalador es muy sencillo. He utilizado Arch, Manjaro y Antergos, pero esta distribución anima a que cualquier persona que quiera utilizar Arch, no tenga inconvenientes para tener un sistema confiable y sencillo. "I just tested the latest Ganymede-Neo 2026.01.12 ISO and I must say I am deeply disappointed. As a long-time Linux user who relies on professional systems like openSUSE Tumbleweed, I expected a polished 'Arch-based' experience, but what I found was a lack of basic respect for non-English users. 1. Language Exclusion: In the language selection, I found options for almost every neighboring country (Hrvatski, Srpski, Bosanski), but Slovenian (Slovenščina) is completely missing. How is it possible that tiny, independent projects like Puppy Linux, Slax, and Porteus can offer full Slovenian support, while a major project like EndeavourOS cannot? 2. Broken Live Experience: Even when trying to manually fix the keyboard layout in the Live environment, basic tools like setxkbmap were missing or 'command not found'. This is unacceptable for a distribution that markets itself as 'user-friendly'. 3. The 'Volunteer' Excuse: We often hear that this is a volunteer project. But if volunteers at Slax or Mint can manage proper localization, then EndeavourOS is simply showing a lack of priorities. If you want to be more than just a 'hobbyist's toy' for English speakers, you need to start respecting the global Linux community.
