deepin (formerly, Deepin, Linux Deepin, Hiweed GNU/Linux) is a Debian-based distribution (it was Ubuntu-based until version 15 released in late 2015) that aims to provide an elegant, user-friendly and reliable operating system. It does not only include the best the open source world has to offer, but it has also created its own desktop environment called DDE or Deepin Desktop Environment which is based on the Qt 5 toolkit. Deepin focuses much of its attention on intuitive design. Its home-grown applications, like Deepin Software Centre, DMusic and DPlayer are tailored to the average user. Being easy to install and use, deepin can be a good Windows alternative for office and home use.

 Ainda estou testando, mas notei uma diminuição na velocidade do computador em relação ao windows 11 que eu havia instalado nele anteriormente. Tambem houve dificuldade na instalação tendo ocorrido diversos bugs até a instalação estabilizar, como por exemplo, a dificuldade de fazer login inicial: ao colocar a senha a tela apagava e voltava ao inicio , precisei tentar instalar por 4 ou 5 vezes ate que estabilizasse. Como disse, ainda estou testando, mas, por enquanto, não faria a transição para este sistema definitivamente.

 I run Deepin in a very locked down qubes under QubesOS and I have to say its definitely stands out as one of the better eye candy distros out there. It could possibly be an excellent distro to transition people away from windows. Its main problem is a dodgy security record and trust issues in general won't go into. Giving some points to putting out a unique distro. They tighten up their security and move to being more global and they may become a contender. I guess big props also to Qubes for letting me play around fairly safely with distros normally wouldn't go anywhere near.

 I’ve been testing deepin 25 for a while, it’s way more than a simple update;the best part is definitely the new dde 7.0 desktop， it is super smooth, and the unified design feels sleek and easy to use—way better than the old version like deepin 23 /20.
and the "Solid System" keeps it reliable,read-only core folders prevent mess-ups, linyaps aims to address Linux’s old dependency issues, and there are many top apps in deepin appstore. deepin 25 is a good choice if you like pretty UI and basic daily use.
