Table Notes and Explanations

(Please refer to the table below.)
  • Select view:
  • To compare the software in this project to the software available in other distributions, please see our Compare Packages page.
  • Notes: In case where multiple versions of a package are shipped with a distribution, only the default version appears in the table. For indication about the GNOME version, please check the "nautilus" and "gnome-shell" packages. The Apache web server is listed as "httpd" and the Linux kernel is listed as "linux". The KDE desktop is represented by the "plasma-desktop" package and the Xfce desktop by the "xfdesktop" package.
  • Colour scheme: green text = latest stable version, red text = development or beta version. The function determining beta versions is not 100% reliable due to a wide variety of versioning schemes.

Installing Arch Linux without all those cumbersome commands is a real pleasure. For the average user who wants the best Linux distribution in an accessible way, it's the best. It comes with everything essential for the computer to run smoothly. I use it with KDE Plasma, and it allows you to install it in minimalist mode. After installation, I add the programs I use daily, and it works flawlessly. The system preferences let you customize the desktop to your liking. On my computer with a Ryzen 5, everything runs perfectly. It's the best of the best; I highly recommend it.

I tried this "distribution" when it wasn't yet considered a distribution and wasn't listed on distrowatch.com, as it allowed me to quickly install Arch Linux using Calamares. During installation, you can choose every aspect, from the graphics to the packages it installs. I've been using it for a long time now, and it's become my daily use. It's incredibly stable and reliable for Arch Linux. I've subjected the system to all sorts of experiments and haven't managed to break it :-) I should add that for Arch newbies and those new to the terminal, it also offers a graphical package installer, which I personally don't use. Great job.
