It recognized all my hardware right away, including accessories like a wireless mouse. The interface is very nice, and I loved the wallpapers! I found it very easy to use (I'm biased because I've been using Linux since 1994). I just didn't like the fact that BigLinux's visual package manager only allows you to install one package at a time, so I end up going to the terminal and installing it from there. I was able to install Debian packages without any problems, I ran Steam games (which comes pre-installed), and I ran several programming IDEs, and I had no disappointments. I recommend it to everyone. It proved to be more stable than Arch and Manjaro for me. Was this review helpful? Design is perfect, program selection is perfect, operation is perfect, usability is perfect. It's stable, no problems with it. I recommend it to everyone regardless of age and gender, it provides a very good user experience. The wallpapers deserve ten points separately, they're just fantastic, they always make me feel good. The hardware recognition is great, with an i3 processor and 4 giga ram it goes very well on a notebook. I think I'll stop at this distribution, I won't look any further. My wife finally got so tired of windows that she agreed to try Linux. I tired Linux Mint but the latest Gnome restrictions that came out not too long ago (desktop 46 I think) caused a lot of complaints because her cursor and font changed as she used different applications. Since Gnome was a no go, on the recommendation of a long time Linux user I decided to go ahead and try Big Linux. My wife is now very happy. Her settings stay the way she likes them and she can do her photo editing, word processing, net surfing and gaming. the KDEPlasma desktop was a little intimidating for her, because of the amount of customization allowed. but, once I showed her some basic setting and she had time to get used to it, the desktop has become another real selling point. My wife likes it so much she had me revive my Brother-in-Laws windows 8 laptop and an HP all in one running windows 7 her got for $5 at the good will. I was afraid the systems might now see much performance improvement with Big Linux due to the KDE desktop along with all the preinstalled software. But both machines run well and my Brother-in-Law is very happy with Linux. I was surprised that Sub Nautica ran well on the laptop, considering the laptop is just running graphics in a shared RAM environment. Granted the game is not as detailed as a proper setup would run it, but he is happy with it. I fact he let my nephews have the old all-in-on to test out their code and games they are writing for school. The environment is resilient enough we the nephews manage to crash it, the system comes right back. The distro also plays well with the iphone and android phones that the family uses, without jumping thorough a lot of hoops.
