I wanted a more flexible system, but one that still offered graphical options and instructions. I'm not a developer, I don't want to keep using the damn terminal, but I want updated drivers and a system capable of handling different types of packages without me having to guess what the heck to do with extensions I don't know. Big Linux positively surprised me in all these aspects. A mix of Fedora with Mint and maybe a touch of Tuxedo (except for that grotesque neon pink Tuxedo interface). It gives me relevant options like using Docker, AI assistants on the desktop, or even their customized terminal. They make these installations seem simple and guide us through what may or may not be relevant to us. A system that I can open in front of my clients without fear of looking like something from the 80s or forcing me to look for command-line solutions for everything. Not everything is perfect; the BigLinux Store is awful, slow, cumbersome, and clunky. For that reason, I also recommend installing Discover. Was this review helpful? Isto posto, é uma das distros mais bem otimizadas que eu já vi, além de bela e customizável, ela vem por padrão com o KDE do qual, assumo, gosto à beça do ambiente gráfico, sem hipérbole, diria que é deslumbrante. Outro ponto relevante a ser mencionado é que o Big Linux é bastante intuitivo, sem complicações e direto. Dessa forma, foi extremamente rápido eu adaptar-me a essa distro quando a instalei. A instalação, por sua vez, também foi bastante tranquila. A uso como a minha distro principal faz um tempo e digo, por experiência, que vale muito a sua atenção, mesmo que por experimentação, tenho certeza de que não haverá arrependimentos. The motivation came from a list on the ZDNet website, which featured BigLinux as one of the top distributions for the year. Curiosity got the better of me, and what a fantastic decision that was! From the very first moment, I was impressed with the level of finish and polish of the system. It starts right at the GRUB bootloader, which already comes with a distinct customization by the BigLinux team. I chose the "Modern" theme in dark mode and proceeded to test if everything would work perfectly on my hardware. To my surprise, not only did everything work out of the box, but I also noticed concrete improvements. The output sound became clearer, and believe it or not, my microphone quality gained remarkable clarity! The attention to detail goes beyond functionality: BigLinux's graphical interface is stunning, with an appearance that could easily make many other distributions envious. The installation was smooth, straightforward, and hassle-free—quite different from the usual hurdles. The system is extremely intuitive. The biggest highlight for me, however, was the BigLinux Control Center. That's where you find everything you need, all in one place: from adjusting screen resolution and configuring multiple monitors to completely customizing the system's appearance with themes and icons. The bottom line? BigLinux is a sensational system, truly ready for use. It removes barriers and complexities, delivering a robust and refined experience. It undoubtedly deserves a prominent position in the Linux world. I am seriously considering making it my main operating system. A huge thank you to the BigLinux team for their excellent work!
