Release notes: Instead of a CD, a DVD with a big collection of applications (including KDE, GNOME, Compiz/Beryl, Amarok, OpenOffice.org) is used; migration to UTF-8 (except for system console); migration to FreeBSD 7; migration to modular X; support for Macromedia Flash in all browsers installed on system; auto-configuration of X server; 'uname -sr' now prints current version of FreeBSD, instead of TrueBSD, because it prevented building of ports; fixed bug with incorrect font size on some monitors...." N-iX Desktop Linux
N-iX Destkop Linux was a Linux Distribution based on Fedora Core. You can download the ISO images and just have a N-iX customised version of Fedora with some additional stuff, like Java, Flash, Adobe Acrobat Reader, K3B and other software working right from the box. You don't need to search and install those programs. But if you also want to run N-iX tools, like XPlat Messenger Client, Cross Network Client you should buy a licence for N-iX Desktop Linux.
