NEW • Distribution Release: Ophcrack LiveCD 3.4.0 |

Cedric Tissieres has announced the release of Ophcrack LiveCD 3.4.0, a specialist Linux distribution featuring a free Windows password cracker based on rainbow tables: "This new live CD includes the latest version of ophcrack 3.4.0. It is built on Slitaz GNU/Linux 4.0, the latest version of this great live CD. Christophe Lincoln from Slitaz helped us to enhance the scripts for partitions and tables detection. A new ncurses interface is also available to help users look for tables on other drives or interact with ophcrack. Finally a live CD without tables has been released as well for users that already downloaded or bought tables. The directory containing the table files must be placed inside another directory called tables in order for ophcrack to find them automatically." The 3CX client, included in the distribution, can also be installed separately on most hardware as well as the cloud. It provides a complete open standards-based IP PBX and phone system that works with popular SIP trunks and IP phones. It will automatically configure all supported peripherals and it also comes with clients for Windows, OS X, iOS and Android. The ISO image includes a free license for the 3CX PBX edition. The ISO image contains the standard Debian installer which installs a minimal system with the nginx web server, PostgreSQL database, iptables firewall and Secure Shell. IndLinux
The goal of the IndLinux project was to create a Linux distribution that supports Indian languages at all levels. This "Indianisation" project will strive to bring the benefits of Information Technology down to the Indian masses. We want to make technology accessible to the majority of India that does not speak English. The task of localisation has several pieces that need domain expertise. Some examples are I/O modules, development of fonts, kernel enhancements, word translation etc. The project was looking for experts and volunteers to champion the cause of Indian language computing. You may volunteer and participate here. The Indian Linux project was open source and completely free. It was licensed under the GNU General Public License.
