A new development snapshot of Mockup has been released: "The Mockup team is proud to announce the release of Mockup 0.2.0. This release doesn't provide an installer so you only have a live CD with a fully working KDE 3.5.0 desktop environment with some Mockup patches and an initial version of its artwork. The .deb packages repository has been updated and contains programs like Kopete, KOffice, GStreamer 0.8 and Kontact." The new release of the Qt-based and desktop-oriented distribution ships with kernel 2.6.12 and X.Org 6.9.0, all packaged on a live CD built with Unionfs support. See the release announcement and this mailing list post for a detailed feature list and known issues. Download (MD5): mockup-0.2.0.iso (346MB).

Featured Distribution: 3CX Phone System |
 |
3CX Phone System is a specialist, Debian-based Linux distribution designed to run a complete unified communications platform. The 3CX client, included in the distribution, can also be installed separately on most hardware as well as the cloud. It provides a complete open standards-based IP PBX and phone system that works with popular SIP trunks and IP phones. It will automatically configure all supported peripherals and it also comes with clients for Windows, OS X, iOS and Android. The ISO image includes a free license for the 3CX PBX edition. The ISO image contains the standard Debian installer which installs a minimal system with the nginx web server, PostgreSQL database, iptables firewall and Secure Shell. Options not relevant to 3CX have been removed from the distribution. Download the installation ISO image from here: debian-amd64-netinst-3cx.iso (628MB). |

BeatrIX Linux
BeatrIX Linux was a compact (less than 200MB) operating system aimed at both office and home users who want something simpler, safer and superior to Microsoft Windows, and that will run on just about any IBM-compatible PC made in the past 10 years. It runs as a live CD or it can be installed to hard drive.
