IPCop Firewall
IPCop Linux was a complete Linux Distribution whose sole purpose was to protect the networks it was installed on. After seeing the direction certain Linux Distributions were heading in, a group of dissatisfied users/developers decided that there was little reason for the idea of a GPL Linux Firewall Distribution of such potential to be, simply, extinguished. By implementing existing technology, outstanding new technology and secure programming practices IPCop was the Linux Distribution for those wanting to keep their computers/networks safe. The IPCop Linux Team was dedicated to doing the very best job possible to keep your systems safe, as you can see on our site. "The Bad Packets Stop Here!"

Dalton Miller has announced the release of Bridge Linux 2014.02, an Arch-based Linux distribution with a choice of GNOME, KDE, LXDE and Xfce desktop environments: "Announcing Bridge Linux 2014.02. Not many changes, a few bug fixes and updates. Note: editing the GRUB configuration file may be required due to a bug where GRUB finds the wrong disk UUID. To fix this, run 'sudo blkid' and edit the new GRUB configuration file with the correct UUID from your partition. Update overview: bug fixes with locale switching in the installer; updates to the post-install script; fixed autologin issue on tty." Here is the brief release announcement. This release of Bridge Linux is built with GCC 4.8.2 on top of Linux kernel 3.12.9 and it includes GNOME 3.10, KDE 4.12.2, X.Org Server 1.15.0, Chromium 32.0.1700.107 and LibreOffice 4.1.4. Dalton Miller has announced the availability of Bridge Linux 2013.06, an Arch-based Linux distribution available in four separate flavours (with Xfce, GNOME, KDE and LXDE desktops) and now also featuring Pacaur, a simple and powerful package management wrapper for Arch Linux packages: "Announcing Bridge Linux 2013.06. This update was mostly just a re-package, but there were a few changes still. Update overview: switched from Packer to Pacaur (don't worry, it's aliased in ~/.bashrc for a while); removed LXMed due to Java dependency; switched to official font packages, no more recompiling the AUR version." Here is the brief release announcement. Dalton Miller has announced the release of Bridge Linux 2012.8 "Xfce" edition, an Arch-based distribution and live CD: "Bridge 2012.8. It was requested a lot, and now it's here: GRUB 2 is the default bootloader in Bridge Linux 2012.8. There are a few notes about this - first, the bootloader install should detect all operating systems on the system, but it will change the root kernel parameter of Arch installs with a vanilla kernel. There are quite a few changes: fixed the /etc/hosts file; fixed the Xfce X respawn error; fixed some mkinitcpio issues; fixed the installer; added French and Turkish language support in the installer; added menu item to run post-install script after first run; added instructions for proprietary GPU drivers...."
