A new review of Aurox Linux has been published by SKNI: "A large portion of this review either directly or implicitly compares Aurox with Fedora Core 1. This is inevitable, as Aurox is directly derived from Fedora and most of the packages, including the kernel, are the same. What Aurox does is that it seamlessly fits into the area where Fedora lacks mostly, that is multimedia support. That means if you are considering Fedora or it is already your distro of choice, then you definitely should give Aurox a try." The full review.

Aurox Linux 9.4 has been released: "After three months of development, Aurox 9.4 is now in a stable state, and can be downloaded from one of our mirrors. What's new in Aurox 9.4? First of all, we have changed the way, we prepare CDs. We have now only one set of CDs for everybody. We have now KDE 3.2.1+ which has many improvements compared to KDE 3.1.x. KOffice 1.3.1 is also a big step forward. OpenOffice.org has been upgraded to version 1.1.1. It has now Ximian look and feel, so it fits better into the GNOME environment." Read the rest of the announcement for further details. Users of a previous release can update to Aurox 9.4 with apt-get, or alternatively, perform a clean install via FTP; instructions are available on the distribution's download page. Aurox Linux 9.3.1 has been released: "We'd like to announce the availability of Aurox Linux 9.3.1 version. The distribution is on 2 CDs. The main purpose of this issue was to gather fixes and updates that were made after the 9.3 release. The default language is set to Polish, however, you can use the 'selectlang' option during boot, and choose English. Choosing other languages won't make any sense, because localisation packages for them (kde-i18n, mozilla-i18n, etc.) are not present. So if you are using Aurox 9.3 -- please update your system, if you plan to install Aurox -- use 9.3.1 instead of 9.3." Download: aurox-9.3.1-PL-1.iso (677MB) and aurox-9.3.1-PL-2.iso (688MB).
