Debian replaces live images |
|
Last week we talked about the release of Debian 9 "Stretch", the latest stable release from the venerable Debian project. This release of Debian featured multiple types of installation media: standard install discs, net-install discs and "live" discs which demoed various desktop environments. Several people reported issues with the live discs, saying the the installers on the live discs would fail due to being unable to find certain files. This issue has been addressed and new live ISO files, carrying the version number 9.0.1, have been made available on the Debian mirrors. The installation issue appears to only affect the live editions of Debian and users who downloaded the standard installers or net-install images should not encounter the installation bug. |
