I like the UKUI Desktop, especially the start menu. I used to be a Windows user, but now I am going to use ubuntu Kylin in the future although It still has some shortcomings. I hope it gets better and better．
I have had this installed on my home laptop/ surfboard for a year now.
pros- its ubuntu! easy to install and connect, stable out of the box. package list? its ubuntu! start with synaptic and put whatever you want on it. this distro is a nice change of pace for this gringo, has an exotic feel to it but not to a confusing or limiting degree.
cons- I'm pretty ambivalent when it comes to unity, except that I dislike going thru dash to get to settings and hardware tools. I REALLY dislike dash after reading the privacy statement.
general- Dont forget to midsum, gfw, apparmor and chkrootkit your install. If you install a VPN chkrootkit before and after to see what shows up.
I have try the Live version, I Like the UKUI Desktop, and the booting process have a nice boot splash...
But, when i change to English its not fully "English", there is some Kanji Chinesse in there....
That why, i dont install it to my Asus X201EV (Intel Celeron 1007U - 4GB RAM)
