We have been successfully running Raspberry Digital Signage to provide kiosking for the public the past four years and it's working great.
New version does not add so much to the system, but it now runs on all the newest Pis.

Being a cheap kiosk system for the Pi, Raspberry Digital Signage features some interesting goodies, stability and complete isolation of the web-view are my favourites. Web admin interface does the job (basic and simple, actually it needs a stylish refresh).
System could also be modified completely (after all it's Debian-based), for SSH is enabled for the donors (PayPal only).

Quite all I need for my digital signage needs on the Pi.
Happy donor here (Pi 3 user).
Network set up is easy; once I type in my digital signage web url, at every boot it is displayed fullscreen, with nice features as well (refresh timing etc).
Smart and simple.

Crippleware. Completely useless for anything but just a web browser. A blanking screensaver comes on, making this completely useless for signage. Can't disable the screensaver without donating to the project.
Also, wireless doesn't work with a Raspberry Pi Model B.
Unless you just need a web browser with user interaction, This software is a complete waste of time.
