I have two Vero 4K devices running OSMC, which I use to play music, using a Kodi app on a phone as a remote. Works great, has been running for the last four years without problems. It's easy to keep updated and just works. Yes, I agree that systemd is displeasing to the purist in one, but it's a device OS, not one I tinker with. There is a nice interface if connected to a monitor, plays videos, and all that. On the other hand, it can be managed over ssh with apt-get, etc., if minimalism is your thing. Over all, it's a stable, reliable Debian Kodi integration, which deserves to be better known. Kudos to Sam Nazarko for his vision, great work, and friendly support on the few occasions I have needed to ask.
A great distro for multimedia. It’s easy to use, easy to customize and looks nice. The stability has been hit and miss here though, which I fault at using the systemd malware init. I wish they would base the distro on Devuan instead because of init freedom and not being locked down proprietary style by systemd because of Debian.
