Forked from and originally based on OpenBSD, after a falling out years ago, and maintained by one principle developer in a seemingly ad hoc manner. Versions do not follow the OpenBSD release cycle, nor adopt its latest technology, and are now just very occasional snapshots with little change (and no security) information. Very stale repo with few recent packages. Adopted and then abandoned pkgsrc several years ago after the packages maintainer seemed to lose interest.
All-in-all, no longer appearing to be a serious BSD project, with little of interest technically, infrequently maintained, old packages and questionable security.

Niche operating system for older hardware, nicer defaults, sensible default shell.
Setting /bin/ed as the default system editor is quirky but a nice touch.
