Kicksecure is a fantastic distro with strong security features. If you use it on a host in live-user mode and run Whonix, it will provide a high level of protection that Qubes does not offer - isolation and protection against forensic analysis. The distribution is very lightweight and will run on any hardware. It is an ideal solution for those who cannot use Qubes due to hardware limitations. It installs very quickly. Kicksecure has very detailed and interesting documentation and a wiki that provide a lot of information about security.
Kicksecure is an exceptional choice for crypto enthusiasts seeking a secure environment for managing digital assets. Built on a foundation of robust security, it offers robust hardening without sacrificing usability. I would argue that it is up there with Qubes and BSD when it comes to security. The distro works great for working with different crypto wallets.
Kicksecure’s focus on security is a standout feature. Most if not all flavors of linux do not come with secure defaults, but Kicksecure DOES!
While it's not main goal of privacy, it does include the Tor dameon. However it doesn't specifically route all traffic over Tor as that is not the main goal of Kicksecure. Some of the privacy things it does include are Live Mode, Torified APT upgrades, removal of geoclue, disabling thumbnail previews and auto mounting of USB drives, and encrypted swap.
Very good distribution. It's the best of debian, but tougher in terms of security and privacy. It's worth using. Thank you for this distribution to use in our day to day.
It is important to use good practices in terms of privacy and security.
The use of Tor as a proxy that the system already has by default is very good. Thank you.

This project is a hidden gem and a underappreciated project really cause is you ever went through the time of hardening Debian before you know its a process. It appears Kicksecure shares similarities to Whonix Workstation, for those who are familiar with Whonix you will know what I'm talking about. Some key things that I'm fond of about Kicksecure are it's hardened kernel defaults, default included packages, encrypted swap, TCP ISN CPU Information Leak Protection, and Live Mode.
If your unsure about Kicksecure or don't want to use XFCE as your desktop environment you also can try the CLI package via the repository. The kicksecure-cli-host will harden any Debian distro you have, but for new users or people that like Debian I would strongly suggest trying the Kicksecure ISO.
