i can surely say that if browsing is all you do on your pc is then it really is the fastest. other than that i don't recommend it. features are very limited, almost none customizations, and buggy. file manager is mess. installer was bad, i had to part my disk with live usb of another OS before start, and what even worse is it caused bad superlock on disk after installation, at least it is not in dangerous level. performance didn't satisfied me. my 2 gb ram mediaped runs android apps better than fydeos. and for no reason it stopped run android apps later. i don't care anymore, stopped using it

Version 19.0 Intel Legacy. MacbookPro 11,4
The live environment run very nice and snappy. I love it. The idea to launch the installer from the appstore is pretty nice. It gives me a chance to try out the app environment.
However, when I install, it never boot:< I tried to install on an external drive but it also won't boot, even after switching away from the native macbook UEFI and trying different bootloaders. Running on the live environment won't be a feasible option because the small ramdisk on my machine runs out quickly... As for the tag "Old Computers" on distrowatch, I kinda expected more...
And for this problem there is neither documentation nor forum posts. I hope that the community grows and there will be more support in the future...
Veryyyyyyyyy goooooood distro, i actually love it so much and i see it's powerful distro, its worked like a standard Linux distro and works like vanilla ChromeOS! Best of all you don't need a Google account to use this OS! The installation setup was the only wrong thing with the OS, it was really laggy and in some cases . I really wish they fixed this issue. The account creation setup ran much smoother and the actual OS itself is also really smooth and snappy. Android apps work on . If you need the original ChromeOS, but don't want to spend money on a Chromebook or are concerned about ChromeOS Flex's privacy,

Regarding the look, it all looks good. But in terms of the installation, I don't see an installation that, for instance, has full disk encryption. Additionally, even though the system shows that it is in contact with WiFi, the WiFi does not function after installation. So after the installation you have to connect your laptop to your modem/router via a wire. This is a reason for me not to install it. These days, installing an operating system without a wire should be feasible. Nvidia also does not or hardly works. something that several Linux distributions have addressed more effectively.
Awesome! It works out of the box and was able to get Steam and a few Android games here. It worked like a standard Linux distro and works like vanilla ChromeOS! Best of all you don't need a Google account to use this OS! The installation setup was the only wrong thing with the OS, it was really laggy and in some cases it randomly shut off during install. I really wish they fixed this issue. The account creation setup ran much smoother and the actual OS itself is also really smooth and snappy. Android apps work on 20.0 only for some reason for me. If you need the original ChromeOS, but don't want to spend money on a Chromebook or are concerned about ChromeOS Flex's privacy, I suggest taking FydeOS 20.0, it will work just like ChromeOS. I don't recommend it for NVIDIA or BIOS systems as NVIDIA is kind of unstable on Fyde(I suggest ThoriumOS if you want a ChromiumOS port that supports NVIDIA) and BIOS systems can't turn on the developer mode needed for Android apps. In rest, I give this a 9/10. It just works, is secure, the closest you can get to the Chromebook version of ChromeOS. The only issue that needs fixing is the setup process, because it is laggy for some reason.
