I bought a new PC during December of last year, and I made the decision to install this distribution onto it.
As someone who in the past has used Windows 7 and Windows 10 for a significant portion of his life, I can promise you that in terms of UI and even especially UX, you will not feel dissatisfied, in fact, I can envision and assume that transition to Fluff Linux would feel almost seamless for most people, including those who are Windows users. It is such a simple Linux distro, that you do not need to be a huge Linux nerd to know how to navigate.
Before making this transition, I remember I was initially anticipating myself to have a handful of issues regarding gaming on this operating system. To my surprise, I have come to a point during the couple of months spent with this operating system that I can barely (if at all) recall if I had any issues!
In addition, the only "issue" I can state is that modding games in this OS has a different workaround, when you consider the difference in file navigation between Windows and Linux. You could consider that "an issue" at first, but largely it is a matter of getting used to a new environment if you are fresh out of Windows. You can compare this to moving to a new apartment.
Speaking of UI and file navigation earlier, I can tell you that using Fluff Linux is very simple and (from my assumption as someone who didn't have his hands on many Linux distros) is very forgiving. Unlike in Windows and other Linux distributions, there is no bloatware, ads/news or widgets being shoved into your face.
To further strengthen my last point - besides the user experience, I also have to mention how fun, easy, and widely varying it is to customize the UI. I have almost everything fitted out to my personal aesthetic tastes (global themes, system fonts, cursor, app icons, and even login screen, etc.) and every widget and every app that I have installed was no one and nobody else's but my own doing. In Fluff Linux, what you put in, is what you get.
If you are someone from Windows who would transition and miss Office tools, I can tell that LibreOffice took care of me just fine. Every tool I have used in LibreOffice literally feels like a carbon copy of its Office 365 equivalent.
To conclude, I'll put things largely in perspective and say that this distribution has addressed all of my initial worries before I made my transition, and I have gotten quite settled and comfortable in it. Some of you would say that I am exaggerating, but I genuinely think that this operating system is the perfect balance of all things, be it existing in an office computer or your own personal machine.
Get this if you are a Windows refugee and is seeking something that isn't going to mentally destroy you.
I’ve been using Fluff Linux for a bit now and I genuinely like how it is currently.
The whole setup process was actually smooth ^-^ like I wasn’t fighting for my life trying to install it. The installer guides u through everything in a way that just makes sense, and I didn’t feel confused at all. As someone who isn't tech-savvy, I appreciate the developers a lot :D ! After setting it up, everything just feels clean and stable. I use it now and it hasn’t been stressful or annoying.
Nothing feels random or thrown together. I can tell they really put some effort and thought into all of this.
However, I do wish there was a bit more documentation and forums available. Like if one were to be confused or have any concerns and comments, I think it would be best if they make themselves more approachable.
Despite that, I genuinely enjoy using it!!!! I have high hopes for this distro :3 keep it up
The actual rating is 8.5/10 but seeing with how fluff improves with each version I can tell that it's just a matter of time until it becomes a 10/10 for me. It becomes easier and easier to use.
Although I am not a massive computer nerd, the most complex thing I do on a computer is probably video editing / modding old games.
Both of which are just as easy as it was on Windows!
The rest of my time on my laptop is spent browsing the internet, playing games, chatting with friends on discord & telegram, doing work with documents and watching moveis.
What I love about fluff in particular is that unlike W*ndows Fluff thinks about the average computer illiterate fool like me and I can really feel it. For example, I loved the screenshot feature on Win10 and I was surprised to find out that Fluff not only had that, but it had a better version of the feature, the one you can even record a really specific part of your screen!
Fluff is very customisable, games run smooth, everything works as it should, and if it doesn't fluff usually gives me an error message with an explanation on why what I tried to do didn't work.
As someone who's computer illiterate and new to Linux, Fluff was the perfect thing to switch over to from the forced Win11 update.
The only thing I sometimes struggle with is navigating my files, but I assume that's mostly because I'm much more familiar with Window's directories
Overall, I love it. I don't have much else to add but the review requirement is 250 words and that's annoying as my initial review was gong to be
"Fast, works, feels smooth, easy to get used to, great for those windows refugees like me, love the subtle details where the average joe like me has been thought of, you'll notice the care and thought put into the distro once you start using it and discover features that make life much easier."
Welp! Hope the site is satisfied with my word salad!

Been using Fluff for the past half year, and as someone that's been using Windows for my entire life it has for sure been a big change for me but I can thankfully say that with enough time I was able to get used to Fluff and found it to be an overall very smooth and convenient shift. I mostly use my computer for browsing and gaming and occasionally other recreational hobbies like video editing and such so I can at least attest that Fluff gets the job done and allows me to feel like everything I need generally speaking just works. And considering it's my first proper experience with Linux on my own main personal computer it's very surprising how I was able to get so comfortable and situated with it that I can't see myself going back to Windows in general now.
Also having switched from my old AMD GPU to a newer Nvidia GPU and just having all the Nvidia drivers pre installed ahead of time on the OS was really convenient. It saved me from having to set up drivers manually.
Overall a worthwhile easy to set up distro with a lot of quality of life compared to your average Linux distro that just allows your average computer user do what they like with little to no hassle.

Needs Improvement!
For the last month and a half, I've been looking for an easy to use Arch distro that would be no more difficult than Xorin or Q40s - which is the way I started with Linux.
But every distro I tried either failed with Balena Etcher; did not install; or presented me with technical problems I was not ready for.
Then I found Fluff - and for a brief few days, I thought my problems were solved.
The terminal based installer worked great; and there was an instruction about how to modify the sudo command to install JRE Runtime (required for LibreBase).
It used the same interface as Q40s (I'm not that technical) and I looked forward to using it like any other distro.
But then I noticed three problems:
1) Fluff never updated! Usually when you start using a distro there are plenty of updates - but none with Fluff.
2) The Spell Checker in LibreOffice Writer never worked either - this has never happened with any other distro.
3) Draughts (Checkers) Crashed (As a lifelong STAR TREK Fan all I could think of was "Court Martial") First time that ever happened either.
Why couldn't the creators have placed a simple email address to contact them instead of a procedure that did not work?
I hope the folks at Fluff read this and fix the distro because I really want to use it.
Thanks - just needs a little work.
