One minus for absence of package/port with kernel, second for absence of musl libc support.

The best distribution of those that I used.
I like it simplicity of the internal structure.
This distribution uses a minimum of astractions.
It is like assembly language between high-level languages.
The K.I.S.S principle is most supported in it. CRUX always strives for simplicity. I used a lot of distros: Ubuntu, Mint, Lubuntu, Gentoo, Slackware, Freebsd.
But everywhere there was a wall of abstractions in front of me: I did not understand what I was doing. CRUX transparent as glass. I use it longer than any other distribution. If you want to understand the very essence of Linux, I advise you to use this particular distribution. My rating is 11/10 :)

Interesting distro for people who like DIY distros.
Unfortunately it is NOT Lfs where you have a ton of documentation.
If something goes wrong you are ALONE.
The kde5 ports do not work as expected and many packages fail to compile.
There are NO instructions on how to build kde5 for example.
The only way I see it useful is a starting point to build MANUALLY your desired DE etc.
Do not trust prt-get --it fails more often than not.
Very mediocre distro.
I regret the time i invested to it waiting for the freaking kde to build for no reason at all.
I do NOT recommend it to anyone unless they have access to people in the inner circle.
For everybody else:
Do NOT waste your time....

Crux seems like a good distro, but never works with the wifi adapter in my laptop.

CRUX is my go-to choice when I care about performance. Easily my favorite bare-bones linux.

So. Yep it's LFS + prt-get, pkgadd, pkgrm.
For most users it will be paonfull to use it, other (advanced) may build from it anything they want.
I think the CRUX is LFS with stage 4. The system is simple, there are no superfluous entities (It may seem Spartan at first glance, but this is compensated by complete control over the system from the first steps)
If you want to understand how Linux works, this distribution for you.

This is a great distribution for advanced users, allowing to create a system dedicated exactly for a server you use. It compiles all the packages and creates packages for the further uses and does it in pretty intuitive way. One can also learn a lot by using it. Recommended for advanced (or advanced to be) users.
