I have been a blackPanther OS userfor over 2 years, currently I use the 18.1SE version which is not in the list here just the 18.1. This two years of use is my personal record, I never used any Linux distro this long before. I always used the previous Linux distros in dual boot with MS Windows. The blackPanther OS is the first distro which I use totally instead of Windows. This is a well designed system, which is stable, reliable and convinient if you configure it well according to your needs. It has a few shortcomings but I hope they will be fixed in the future. :)

Most a 18.1SE-t használom. de több mint 2 éve vagyok bp felhasználó, ami az elmúlt húsz évben rekordnak számít a linux disztrók között. Főleg, h azokat Windows mellett és nem helyett használtam! A bP egy részleteiben átgondolt, jól összerakott rendszer, amit ha egyszer az ember az igényeihez konfigurál, utána stabilan hozza a kivánt szintet.
Egykét apró hiányossága van ugyan, de bizom benne, h a jövőben ez is kijavításra kerül. :)

the distribution package manager source code is not available anywhere, neither on official site, neither in github, the tools repository has nothing
while the distribution site says "THE ULTIMATE FREEDOM"
So it raises questions of reliability...
Pros:
didn't see any
Cons:
the package manager is binary blob.
also scripting is questionable cause package manager has different name if other locale is used.

I have used the distro before years ago which I have always liked. There were some bugs, but not that annoying. This new version has a bug where it opens your dvd door when you reboot or shut down. Very annoying as I don't know how to fix that issue. If you want to contact them to report a problem, you have to join some website which I don't want to and I don't like that approach to report a bug. Why can't they make a simple "contact us" without the extra foot work? It's like they don't want anybody contacting them about software bugs.
