The developers of Lilidog, a lightweight desktop Linux distribution based on Debian "Stable" and featuring a customised Openbox window manager, have announced the availability of a new release, version 26.02.06: "New release 26.02.06 for all editions. As noted in a previous thread, I'm pleased to announce that Lilidog has been added to DistroWatch. Current Lilidog and Beardog changes: added a Wine installer with Wine and Winetricks for easy GUI access, also adjusted several other installers for formatting; created ld-keys to show the keybinds for both Openbox and sxhkdrc, 'Super + F1' will show the current list for all builds; some keybinds have also been changed slightly to standardize the different builds moving forward, Mainly, Thunar changed to 'Super + t' and dmenu to 'super + F3'; added a full screen toggle to Openbox. (Super + f); created xdmenu, a wrapper for dmenu that cuts out all the extra cruft in the dmenu output, allows for opening terminal items, and shows scripts placed in ~/bin and ~/.local/bin for ease of use...." Continue to the release announcement for a full list of changes. Lilidog is available in "Lilidog" (X.Org with Openbox), "Beardog" (barebones without display manager) and "Waydog" (Wayland with labwc or Sway) variants; download from SourceForge (MD5, pkglist, username/password: user/live): Lilidog-Trixie-26.02.06-amd64.hybrid.iso (2,172MB), Beardog-Trixie-26.02.06-amd64.hybrid.iso (1,773MB), Waydog-Trixie-26.02.06-amd64.hybrid.iso (1,806MB). |

| About Lilidog
|
| Lilidog is a lightweight desktop Linux distribution based on Debian "Stable" and featuring a customised Openbox window manager. It incorporates the tint2 desktop panel, the Thunar file manager and the xfce4-terminal terminal emulator. Other window managers, including Awesome, dwm, i3, JWM and sowm, are also available for installation. Besides the standard Lilidog, the project provides two other editions of the distribution - the "Beardog" variant which starts without a display manager on login, and the "Waydog" flavour which uses the Wayland display server and offers a choice between the labwc and Sway Wayland compositors.

Hybryde Linux
Hybryde Linux was an Ubuntu-based distribution for the desktop. Its most unusual feature was an option to switch rapidly between multiple desktop environments and window manager without logging out - the list includes Enlightenment 17, GNOME 3 (GNOME Shell and GNOME 3 "Fallback" mode), KDE, LXDE, Openbox, Unity, Xfce and FVWM. This was achieved via a highly customisable Hy-menu, which also allows launching applications and configuring the system. All open applications are carried to any of the available desktops. The system offers an interesting way to work fluidly in a multi-desktop environment.
