AlmaLinux OS is a distribution built using the soruce code of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The community project has published a new development snapshot, AlmaLinux Os 9.3 Beta, which introduces new security features and health check options for containers and virtual machines. The project's release announcement states: "The AlmaLinux 9.3 Beta aims to improve flexibility and reliability, as well as to enhance security across hybrid environments. This release continues simplifying automation and system management. Web console enhancements simplify management tasks. Additionally, users can configure health check actions for Podman containers and vsock devices in virtual machines. Application Streams updates provide developers with flexibility and customization options without affecting the platform’s stability. The 9.3 Beta offers enhanced security and compliance. AlmaLinux 9.2 provides enhancements and features to the hybrid cloud's foundation and helps deliver workloads, applications and services for multiple environments faster and with less effort. This release includes security updates such as the realmd system role, a SCAP profile, and Ansible content for enhanced system checks to simplify managing security and compliance.
