clusterKNOPPIX was a modified KNOPPIX distribution using the openMosix kernel. Features: openMosix terminal server - uses PXE, DHCP and TFTP to boot Linux clients via the network; no CD-ROM drive, hard disk or floppy disk needed for the clients openMosix auto-discovery - new nodes automatically join the cluster (no configuration needed); cluster management tools; every node has root access to every other node via SSH and RSA keys; every node can run full-blown X or console only.

The developers of Voyager Live have published a new version of their Ubuntu-based distribution. The new version, Voyager Live 19.04, is based on Ubuntu 19.04 and features the GNOME 3.32 desktop environment. An English translation of the release announcement reads: "I introduce to you Voyager GE 19.04 that continues the adventure with the desktop GNOME Shell, version 3.32, that introduces new features. With the promise finally realized to have a light GNOME system, fast, fluid and powerful. This version is based on the Linux 5.0 kernel and the distribution Ubuntu 'Disco Dingo'. 19.04 is an intermediate version upgrade with nine months of support, preparing for the future 20.04 LTS (Long-term Support) version that will have 5 years of support. LTS versions happen every two years, when Voyager will be available in two editions: GNOME Shell and Xfce. Also you can choose according to your wishes and capacity machines. The general idea of Voyager is to introduce in the Gnome Shell pre-installed extensions and scripts grouped in a box that optimize the system with a choice of necessary software. Voyager Live is an Xubuntu-based distribution and live DVD showcasing the Xfce desktop environment. Its features include the Avant Window Navigator or AWN (a dock-like navigation bar), Conky (a program which displays useful information on the desktop), and over 300 photographs and animations that can be used as desktop backgrounds. The project also develops several other editions of Voyager Live - a "GE" edition with GNOME Shell, a "GS" variant for Gamers, and a separately-maintained flavour based on Debian's "stable" branch.

Rodolphe Bachelart has announced the availability of Voyager Live 11, a major new release of the project's Debian-based desktop Linux distribution with a customised GNOME desktop. This version is derived from the recently-released Debian 11 "Bullseye" and it comes with a variety of non-free firmware pre-installed. It ships with the GNOME 3.38 desktop, Linux kernel 5.10, Firefox 78.13 and LibreOffice 7.0. This time the release preserved the internal structure of Debian 11 to avoid any security issues and all the package updates come from official Debian mirrors. It is also a more international release as all languages and translations have been preserved. Voyager has improved the "Box" with new scripts, such as the "Switch" script which allows a one-click switch between the environment of Debian 11 and Voyager 11. Other scripts provide ways to modify various Conky options, install GNOME extensions, switch to a PC Tablet mode with one-click screen rotation, Voyager wallpapers, restore options, installation of Wine Staging, among many others. Rodolphe Bachelart has announced the release of Voyager Live 10, a major update of the project's desktop Linux distribution branch based on Debian 10 and featuring a customised GNOME desktop: "Voyager Live 10 is based on Debian 10 'Buster', with 3 edition. A unique, free and open-source, 64-bit GNOME for the purists and two non-free variants with GNOME (amd64 and i386) with all firmware installed for those who have problems with hardware compatibility using the free edition. All editions are built around the new GNOME 3.30 and the Linux kernel 4.19. Warning: Voyager 10 is only a variant of Debian Buster. All the internal structure of Debian 10 is left by default to avoid problems with security and packages and all updates come from official Debian repositories. It is also an international version, with all languages and translations preserved. Among the new Debian Buster features, security is in the spotlight with support for Secure Boot; this means that users will no longer have to disable support for Secure Boot in the firmware configuration. There is also the activation of AppArmor on new installations, the choice of Wayland as the default GNOME display server for the Linux kernel 4.19."
