Merdeka Trustix Linux
Trustix Merdeka was the first Indonesian Linux distribution. The main idea was to provide a desktop Linux distribution, which would be secure out of the box, easy to install, include minimum packages and multi-lingual. One of the main focus of Trustix Merdeka was mobile computing. Update: The distribution's web site became unavailable in March 2003.

Prithish Mathews has announced the release of Macpup Opera, a minimalist desktop Linux distribution based on Puppy Linux, but using the Enlightenment window manager: "Macpup Opera is the latest from the Macpup team. It is based on Ttuuxxx's 4.2v2 'Deeper Thought' a 'no Bling' edition of Puppy Linux 4.2 with all of the current updates. It has D-Bus 1.2.4 compiled and installed from source and the Enlightenment 17 desktop version 0.17.999.060 compiled and installed from source with the updated version of librsvg 2.26.0. Also included is the Opera 9.64 browser compiled by Ttuuxxx. Works with both X.Org and Xvesa video drivers. Runs all the latest Enlightenment 17 themes and backgrounds. It is based on Precise Puppy 5.5.0, an official Woof build of Puppy Linux that is binary-compatible with Ubuntu 'Precise' packages. The EFL libraries version 1.7.5 and E17 version 0.17 were compiled and installed from source. Johnny Lee has announced the release of Macpup Opera 2.0, a small Puppy-based Linux distribution featuring the latest Enlightenment 17 window manager and the Opera web browser: "Macpup Opera 2.0 is based on Puppy Linux 4.3.1 (Linux kernel 2.6.30.5). It has all the applications from 4.3.1 plus Opera 10.10 and GIMP 2.6.3. It also Has dBUS 1.2.16. The Enlightenment E17 window manager version .061 was also compiled and installed from source. You can also use JWM, use the exit menu to change window managers. Please note that not all the options in the E17 system shut-down menu work with Puppy Linux, that is why the exit menu was added. The battery module in this build of E17 had a problem of maxing out the CPU, so I removed it. I have added a script to check battery status, just click on the battery icon if you are using a laptop. Johnny Lee has announced the release of Macpup Linux 2.0, a variant of Puppy Linux with the Enlightenment 17 window manager, attractive artwork, Mac OS X-like user interface, and extra desktop applications: "Macpup Foxy 3.0 is based on Puppy Linux 4.3.1 (Linux kernel 2.6.30.5). It includes all the updates from the 4.3.1 service pack and has all the applications from 4.3 plus Firefox (updated to 3.5.4) and GIMP 2.6.3. It also has D-Bus 1.2.16 and Sakura 1.2.3 compiled and installed from source. The Enlightenment 17 window manager was also compiled and installed from source. You can also use JWM, use the exit menu to change window managers. Please note that not all the options in the e17 system shutdown menu work with Puppy Linux - that is why the exit menu was added. It has D-Bus 1.2.4 compiled and installed from source and the Enlightenment 17 desktop version 0.16.999.061 compiled and installed from source with the updated version of librsvg 2.26.0. Opera 061 includes lots of the e17 extra modules like Flame, Rain, Snow and Penguins, and lots of extra shelf modules like Net, Tclock, Moon. Some of the shelf modules like CPU and Weather are unstable and may crash. Also included is the Opera 9.64 browser. GIMP 2.4.6 Xvidcap and Avidemux are included as .pets."
