Linux+ Live is a Fedora-based live DVD, supplied as a cover DVD with the Linux+ magazine. The latest version is 08-2005, released earlier today: "After while (we have worked really hard) we have something new for you - Linux+ Live DVD 2005-08 from August 2005 Linux+. The most notable changes are: usage of Unionfs; saving data and configuration on external device; support for TV cards (Video4Linux) with KDETV, TVtime, xawtv, Zapping and MythTV; development version of Anjuta 2.x with Glade 3.0; printing software CUPS with Mting, Kover, Mptool, HP Device Manager; RSS readers (Liferea, Blam); binary editor (Bless)...." A new version of Linux+ Live, a live DVD based on Aurox Linux and Fedora Core, has been released: "We are back again with a new release of Linux+ Live DVD from September 2005 Linux+. As always, it also includes many applications added in previous editions. The most notable new ones are: development version of EnterpriseDB 2005, which is Oracle compatible PostgreSQL based database system; newest MySQL server and MySQL Administrator for easing administration of databases; many applications for mobile phones; databases administration tool (KNoda); TeX editors (TeXmacs and Winefish); collection manager (Tellico); blog editor (Drivel); web editor (Nvu)...." A new version of the Linux+ Live DVD has been released: "Hello folks. Today I'm proud to announce a new version of Linux+ Live. It comes with the April edition of Linux+ and Linux+DVD magazines. With tons of new features and enchantments, the new version includes: better hardware support; totally new kernel with many patches; X.org 6.8.1 with a lot of patches; QDVD and DVD Author for creating your own DVDs with movies; MPlayer, Xine and others multimedia programs; Skype and a special edition of Psi (with more than 50 extra patches); new instant messengers; some great tools: Konserve 0.10.3, QtParted 0.4.4...." Linux+ Live is a live DVD based on Aurox Linux. A new version was announced yesterday: "A new version of Linux+ Live, Aurox Linux based distribution with KDE and security tools has been released. This version contains some security tools (Ethereal, Ettercap, NMap, Airsnort) described in the January edition of Linux+ and Linux+ DVD magazines. Have fun!" Ubuntu Christian Edition
Ubuntu Christian Edition was a free, open source operating system geared towards Christians. It was based on the popular Ubuntu. Along with the standard Ubuntu applications, Ubuntu Christian Edition includes the best available Christian software. The latest release contains GnomeSword, a top of the line Bible study program for Linux based on the Sword Project. There are several modules installed with GnomeSword including Bibles, Commentaries, and Dictionaries. Ubuntu Christian Edition also includes fully integrated web content parental controls powered by Dansguardian. A graphical tool to adjust the parental control settings has also been developed specifically for Ubuntu Christian Edition. The goal of Ubuntu Christian Edition was not to bring Christianity to Linux but to bring Linux to Christians.
