Exe GNU/Linux
Exe GNU/Linux is a Debian-based desktop Linux distribution. Its primary goal is to provide a Debian variant that ships with a slightly re-themed Trinity desktop environment (a fork of KDE 3), as well as several useful scripts and utilities. It offers LXDE as an alternative desktop. It uses the official Debian repositories, as well as the Trinity mirror for updating the desktop environment. In late 2017, the distribution re-based itself on Devuan, using the official Devuan repositories.

New ISO images of Source Mage GNU/Linux for x86 and PPC architectures have been released: "A new ISO has been released and for the first time, it's available on x86 and PPC at the same time. It has been built entirely with scripts using the stable sorcery and stable grimoire. Boot loader (lilo/grub/yaboot) configuration has been rewritten from scratch and has been tested with or without a separate /boot partition. Both ISOs use the 2.6.8.1 kernel. The PPC ISO takes care about loading the temperature driver to avoid overheating (and thus damages)." Read the announcement and this readme for further information. Justin Boffemmyer has announced the release of a new stable installation ISO image for Source Mage GNU/Linux, an independently-developed source-based distribution: "After some time in the making, the Source Mage Cauldron team would like to present you with the 0.10.0 stable ISO image. This is the latest stable ISO image release for installing Source Mage GNU/Linux. A short list of the major improvements: updated kernel (2.6.27.10), better support for newer hardware; use of udev during boot enables automatic hardware probing and detection; new text-only installer interface; LVM and RAID support; documentation for all ISO packages available during the install; fast installation. The developers of source-based Source Mage GNU/Linux have released a new installation CD image for testing: "After many, many hours of development and hard work by BearPerson, the Next Generation Installer is ready for testing. This is a development ISO and potentially loaded with bugs and glitches. This is where you come in. We need your help to squash these bugs. Please download, burn, and install this ISO to a spare partition, extra computer, or over your least favorite friend's Windows partition. VMware or Bochs works too. Using a 2.6.8.1 kernel; NPTL; native support of udev; works better; yabootconfig from the installer works properly; mkreiserfs binary is no longer missing on the ISO so you can choose to create a ReiserFS partition; more complete keymap selection; you can do a 'cast linux' and select 2.6.8.1 kernel version (it wasn't possible with 2.6.5-rc3-ben0).
