Random Distribution |
RancherOS
RancherOS was a tiny Linux distribution that runs the entire operating system as Docker containers. This includes system services, such as udev and rsyslog. RancherOS includes only the bare minimum amount of software needed to run Docker. This keeps the binary download of RancherOS very small. Everything else can be pulled in dynamically through Docker.

Fresh off the developers' shelves - EvilEntity 0.2.5: "This is a more mature version of EvilEntity Linux. It's not DR-0.3. And it's not trying to be. But it is fast, stable, and more focused on its multimedia objective. Changes: more usefull applications; Mplayer is the default video player; all packages updated; lots of stuff!!!" Download: EvilEntity-DR-0.2.5.iso (686MB). EvilEntity Linux is a desktop Linux distribution with a difference - designed specifically for the multimedia power users, video gamers, audio/video professionals, and speed freaks. More information on the distribution's home page and in a recent review by LinuxOrbit. Not for the weak at heart!

About EvilEntity Linux
|
A distribution like no other! It's primary goal is to provide the best home or dorm-room desktop environment possible. "EvilE" is not a server distribution and not a corporate workstation platform -- it's simply the most fun and useful tool you can install on your PC! Now you can install Linux and be up and running, online, ripping MP3s, burning CD's, watching DVD's and TV, editing video, and 3D models in minutes. No longer will you have to spend a week compiling downloaded programs to have a usable environment and NEVER will you have to boot into the outdated, unstable, piece of dog shit called MS Windows (especialy since EvilE blows out your Windows partion during the install -- for the good of mankind of course).

EvilEntity 0.2.5: Evil Can Be Fun Now and Then |
 |
This is a review of EvilEntity Linux 0.2.5, by GUILinux: " During my time with EvilEntity I have discovered that yes, it is largely a developers only type release right now, and although it can be installed on the desktop, it requires quite a bit of Linux knowledge to administer correctly. This being said, it is the *perfect* OS to learn Linux on. This is largely due to the fact that, as a user, you are the closest to a development distro that you can get. Also EvilEntity Linux comes with many things to keep your mind occupied and happy when you don't feel like hacking around with the configurations." The full story with screenshots.

Evil Entity Linux, A Desktop Distribution with Attitude |
 |
LinuxOrbit has done a review of EvilEntity Linux: "At first glance, you might think that Evil Entity Linux is some sort of hoax. Surely no one is trying to establish a Linux distribution with a name like Evil Entity. Well, if you're thinking this, you are very wrong. 'We are delivering an Operating System founded on integrity, principle, and the testosterone driven desire for the most powerful desktop experience possible coupled with the moral fortitude to never sell out to the mediocrity of corporate Linux. Evil Entity is targeted for the PC power user as well as the old school hacker that made Linux great. We provide the most intuitive desktop experience. A world away from Windows, we have been able to observe and learn from the failed desktop design of Windows and Windows-like environments. There is a better way.'"
