Table Notes and Explanations

(Please refer to the table below.)
  • Select view:
  • To compare the software in this project to the software available in other distributions, please see our Compare Packages page.
  • Notes: In case where multiple versions of a package are shipped with a distribution, only the default version appears in the table. For indication about the GNOME version, please check the "nautilus" and "gnome-shell" packages. The Apache web server is listed as "httpd" and the Linux kernel is listed as "linux". The KDE desktop is represented by the "kdelibs" and "plasma-desktop" packages and the Xfce desktop by the "xfdesktop" package.
  • Colour scheme: green text = latest stable version, red text = development or beta version. The function determining beta versions is not 100% reliable due to a wide variety of versioning schemes.

Very nice themes and icons, although there are just too many of them.

This is my third attempt to try and install and on a laptop this time but still login is 320mb, not sure why so much ram initially. Have installed numerous openbox Wm's and never over 250mb of ram after login. Most run about 150mb on a laptop.

Decided perhaps to remove majority of unneeded pipemenus and unneeded programs, perhaps more is running in the background than what I could detect. All efforts failed but do think it is stable, but definitely not right for me to use. Archbang is far my choice of Ob distros.

Hopefully with the next release these issues will be resolved for those who use it.

Not a bad distro but not right for me.

Looks very similar to BL, but of course with Arch. Very nice color scheme!

Honestly a really big distro and way to many icons and themes. Leaves little room for personal user choice with apps, should be brought down to about 700mb or smaller.

Ram way to high to initial with boot to log-in, not sure why?

It's ok distro, Archbang distro of choice and think that ArchLabs needs some mature approach to make it really something good.
