| Package searches |
Search the DistroWatch database for distributions using a particular package. If you are looking for a distribution with the latest kernel, select "linux" from the drop-down box below and type the version number into the text box next to it. Please note that GNOME is listed as "libgnome", KDE as "kdebase" and Apache 2.0.x as "httpd". As for versioning, try to be as close to official version numbers as possible: as an example, for libgnome you should type 2.8.0 (not 2.8) and for kdebase 3.3.0 (not 3.3). Have fun and let us know how we can improve the search engine!

| Search by Distribution Criteria (Simple Search Form) |
This section allows you to search for a particular distribution based on certain criteria. Just select the criteria from the drop-down and check boxes below and hit the refresh button to get a list of known distributions that match your choice.
The following distributions match your criteria:
1. ADIOS Linux Boot CD ADIOS boot CD is a Fedora-based live and installation CD with support for User Mode Linux (UML) virtual machines, further enhanced by Linux Intrusion Detection System (LIDS) and SELinux (Security Enhanced Linux). The live CD, which includes the KDE desktop environment, uses a compressed loopback filesystem.
2. Puppy Linux Yes, Puppy Linux is yet another Linux distribution. What's different here is that Puppy is extraordinarily small, yet quite full featured. Puppy boots into a 64MB ramdisk, and that's it, the whole caboodle runs in RAM. Unlike live CD distributions that have to keep pulling stuff off the CD, Puppy in its entirety loads into RAM. This means that all applications start in the blink of an eye and respond to user input instantly. Puppy Linux has the ability to boot off a flash card or any USB memory device, CDROM, Zip disk or LS/120/240 Superdisk, floppy disks, internal hard drive. It can even use a multisession formatted CD-R/DVD-R to save everything back to the CD/DVD with no hard drive required at all!
3. TEENpup Linux TEENpup Linux is a distribution based on Puppy Linux. Although the original concept was to create a flavour of Puppy Linux with more applications and a more appealing desktop aimed at teenage users, TEENpup Linux has now grown to become a general purpose distribution. It comes with a large number of applications, browser plugins and media codecs as standard software. Despite these enhancements TEENpup Linux is still perfectly suitable for installation on older and low-resource computers, as well as modern hardware.
