Search the DistroWatch database for distributions using a particular package. If you are looking for a distribution with the latest kernel, select "linux" from the drop-down box below and type the version number into the text box next to it. Please note that GNOME is listed as "libgnome", KDE as "kdebase" and Apache 2.0.x as "httpd". As for versioning, try to be as close to official version numbers as possible: as an example, for libgnome you should type 2.8.0 (not 2.8) and for kdebase 3.3.0 (not 3.3). 1. Dragora GNU/Linux Dragora GNU/Linux is an independent GNU/Linux distribution based on the concept of simplicity. It is recognised by Free Software Foundation as one of the few distributions that only provides free software. Dragora has been inspired by the philosophy driving the development of Slackware Linux, but there are some important differences, including a streamlined system installer, a more powerful package management system and exclusive support for the i686 processor architecture.
2. Estrella Roja Estrella Roja (formerly Red Star GNU/Linux) is a Debian-based distribution and live CD for the desktop. Developed in Argentina, it is primarily designed for Spanish-speaking users.
3. Kwort Linux Kwort is a Slackware-based Linux distribution that uses the GTK+ toolkit and Xfce desktop. Its most prominent feature is a package manager, called kpkg, for retrieving packages from download mirrors.
4. Linux LiveCD Router Linux LiveCD Router is a Linux distribution designed to share a broadband connection over WiFi. It can be used with DSL, cable modem, T1, ISDN, and dial-up connections. It can also be used it as a firewall, or as an access point for most WiFi cards. Linux LiveCD Router does not require any installation, but requires a dedicated computer to boot and run the CD.
5. Musix GNU/Linux Musix GNU+Linux is a Debian and KNOPPIX-based installable live DVD featuring a large collection of free audio software.
6. Tuquito Tuquito is a Ubuntu-based distribution and live CD made in Argentina. It features automatic hardware detection, excellent support for scanners, web cams and digital cameras, and compatibility with MS Office file formats. It is designed for beginners and intermediate Linux users.
7. UTUTO UTUTO GNU/Linux is a Gentoo-based distribution developed by at the Universidad Nacional de Salta in Argentina. Named after a fidgety local lizard that pokes its nose into every hole, UTUTO is a high-performance desktop system designed to be used by home and office users, developers, organisations and government officials. UTUTO focuses on providing only free software as defined by the Free Software Foundation (FSF).
