I have marked this as neutrally as possible, I think a 5 out of 10 is fair, heres why:
I like Slackware and Slack based things, Install was painless, iceWM is lean and fast, Vector looks the part.
A big downside was the fact that there are no local mirrors for me to pull the official updates from, I am based in the UK and had a choice of Canadian Mirrors to use, as you can imagine - it was painfully slow. Shame really, Vector is a nice distro.

Easy install IF you partition drive before hand or you do Automatic and give it the whole hard drive.
Crazy fast on old machines
Extremely Small footprint
Easy to configure
Will find and install older WiFi card drivers
(like Broadcom) once it is installed
Really, really doesn't like residing on a hard drive with other distros
Must use their Lilo or Grub, else won't boot.
Install will hang on creating Passwords unless their bootloader is installed as the main, even though is gives other options.
The Forums and FAQ's do not mention this.
Small selection of software in Slackware repositories.

I have a lot of older hardware, and using Vector has breathed new life into all of it! This is one of my favorite distro's because it is light , fast and stable.
The packages installed out of the box are best of breed for low end computers. They work well but aren't resource hogs.
Like using mouspad instead of gedit for example.
I like the look and feel of the desktop and the installer, they have a consistant theme and it feels very well polished and done right.
The only negative thing I can say about it is that I am worried. I haven't seen anything new from them in a while. I troll the forums looking for more information, but their development is very slow and it seems like they have a very small team. I really hope they get some new blood and new life into this wonderful distro!
I would recommend this to anyone who has an old laptop laying around doing nothing.

I like this Slackware based distro, it's very fast, looks good, easy to use. However, it keeps crashing on Acer laptop. If not for that, it would be my main distro. Maybe it's an Acer thing, and not a VectorLinux problem.

Pros: Stable, fast, beautiful, XFCE-based, no systemd, relatively easy to configure (it means, not as easy as MX Linux).
Cons: Installer with too small fonts...
My general opinion on this distro: WONDERFUL (it means, even better than MX Linux).

The only distribution I could install on my PC (Fujitsu-Simens Scaleo T Athlon XP). Runs fast.
