Just keeps improving. Tried for the first time a few months ago and it wasnt bad but also not impressive. Grabbed the current ISO and if it wasnt for the loading screen I wouldnt have known it was the same OS. Has improved leaps and bounds since my last install. Interested to see how it is in a few months.
Perfect for a desktop in the cloud. Performance was really good when launching a cloud instance inside a cloud instance. All the tools are built from source and are preconfigured so no setup is needed.
The distro is great! Has alot of useful things for virtualization! Is it possible to add a plugin that would simplify the addition of a second GPU for GPU passthrough? This seems to be a rather involved process even with the current methods used via Virtmanager. With all the other VM friendly tools in shark, it would certainly be the first to have such a feature.
Interesting setup. seems to be heavy focused on VMs. I do like the way a lot of the software is shipped as scripts so you can pick and choose what you want on the system like choosing MATE 1.16 or 1.18. Theres a lot of stuff included thats not as common for a distro. lots of programs that get built straight from github and stuff like that. Depending how you look at it maybe a pro or con is how much the system changes. New stuff gets added a lot but if you dont like the idea of unexpected changes then be warned. My first install had the mint menu. next day it was whisker menu. When I pulled the menu up there were a couple new programs.
