I am linux newbie and am trying various flavours.
Robolinux seemed good but asking subscribtion to install or even update the apps make Robolinux useless.
If a system cannot update apps which are free, what use is such system.
I am not happy for Robolinux agressive policity. I want to make a donation but free.
Now everything cost. Also sofware whitch are totally free on other distributions.
I can not understand why I must pay for installing bleachbit etc. Robolinux is reliable and
stable and it looks very good. I bought Stealth VM but changed Robolinux to another distro
which I can use without any fees.
Like many others, I have tried pretty much all Linux OS that is out there. This is a capable system that is quick and if you need to access the internet and read emails then it does the job with no problems. However, you do have to pay for the VM to work and to install apps. So if you don't mind paying $10 then it will do all the things you need.
It, is not a bad thing to ask for donations and I have given on more than one occasion, however, it is another thing to have a gun held to your head to pay for something that is free in most mainstream systems.
But, the developers have done a good job with the system so if you want to pay that is up to you.
It works and has some nice touches like the calendar stays open when clicked, unlike windows that close every time. It would get a higher vote except you have to donate to get most things to work.
I have tried most of the mainstream Linux installs and this is nice BUT it is all about paying for the VM Ware if you want to run Windows apps. It does not have anything in that is not available in Mint, Manjaro, or any of the "Windows" type interface .ie KDE etc.
It would not be my operating system of choice. Better ones are available. It also had an annoying issue of random freezing on both my test machines so it has been uninstalled.
