This is something really cool and awesome. I have been using this for some weeks now and for the most part I can say that BackSlash Linux is very stable and also very beautiful. I like the interface and love what system is provided by BackSlash Shell. The app selection is also very nice and for the most part I don't need any extra app for general day to day usage. There are some minor glitches, but it is just a beta software so that is perfectly fine for me and I am pretty sure that those will be fixed soon. Really a good distro.

This flavour of Linux is very under publicised and more should be telegraphed to people how good and professional it is. The entire system seems very stable, useful and beautiful in its layout. I think that many people are past using only the popup style "start menu" systems as found on Window$ and this system allows you to fully approach your own way. I use Cairo-Dock for example which complements Backslash and I find it more flexible. A great spread of apps on installation. Very easy for the beginner to maintain and be productive. A few minor glitches with the update system but this Kristoff version is beta software! The connection to Ubuntu repositories and all those favourites is simply marvellous. If you are used to dealing with Linux then this one can get you going from installation and soon have a machine running with all of your own personal gems. I have been using it now over 5 weeks, well since August. Really impressed and its well worth a try if you are a beginner or experienced. Well done guys.

I really like the look and feel of this distro. It was very easy to install. First I installed it in VirtualBox then I installed it onto an external 1tb HDD.
This could become a fantastic first time Linux users experience, once they work out some of the bugs and improve the packages included.
-The first time you try to run the update manager(Discover) it fails. The updates can be done via a terminal session and once done Discover works fine. While it is a simple fix for intermediate Linux users, a first time user will be stumped.
-The default user ID with 'root' as the password. Why? This makes no sense if the target audience is first time users. OK for someone setting it up for a first time user, but an experienced user doesn't need this either, they would know how to setup for the first timer then make an Admin id.
-Flash not installed for Chromium, if you are going to pick Chromium over Firefox then it needs to work out of the box
-many other packages are not the normal mainstream packages found on other Ubuntu derivatives. That's OK, but they better work as well or better and enhance the user experience. They all don't and seem to be there just to be different.
This is essentially Kubunto with a customized KDE Neon desktop. They don't try to hide that, so it needs to be better than it. At the moment, it is not.

One of the most beautiful Linux distro I have ever seen. Stylish, elegant and lovely. I'm kinda hopping between this and deepin. You won't believe me but I ditched Linux Mint for this masterpiece. Loving it more than ever.
It's super easy to use for any newbie/beginner. Each and every part is polished and professionally designed, be it the top bar, sidebar or the dock!
BackSlash is just too much for a free and open source OS. Believe me you are not gonna regret about it. Can uninstall unnecessary apps with just one click.
Yep, I am a newbie to Linux. Trust me it's just better and more safer than windows and many far more beautiful than other Linux distros out there.
Wouldn't think twice before giving it a 10/10.

At the very first look of the distro, I said that it looks absolutely stunning. I'm very pleased with the beauty and the project certainly has the potential to grow bigger. It pleased to see how evenly this distribution integrates with Qt and GTK+ applications without losing a single feature. Even if it is a KDE based distro, GNOME applications feel the same and I must say Kudos to the "BackSlash Shell" which empowers Plasma to do such a powerful task.
Next, I must say the project is very innovative and I have been following their project page closely and I am very pleased to see some innovative ideas in Linux like their login screen, fingerprint recognition and locking, multi-touch gestures, Snap support, Wine 2.14, Redshift, email client, system optimiser with an advanced app uninstaller, Hardware-Enabled (HWE) Kernel and App Expose and Google Play Music Desktop Edition in their latest beta.
I am restless to try their latest stable release.

I love KDE but this one is very esthetic and elegant, polished and design
It is bugy for the moment on my computer and I can not wait for a stable release to make a good experiment.
If you like having a linux experience you should give a try to that one that would be certainly very popular soon, especially for Mac user.
For the moment I am between two distro Kde neon and Deepin
I've almost tried than all those are my favourites
