Development Release: Linux Deepin 10.06 RC |

Linux Deepin is a Chinese community distribution based on Ubuntu, and version 10.06 will be the next release after 9.12. Compared with the previous beta release, this release candidate fixes the bugs found in Thunar and GDM, and replaces ibus-pinyin with ibus-sunpinyin, currently considered by many as the best Chinese input method for composing complete sentences. Major upgrades include Linux kernel 2.6.32-23, Firefox 3.6.6, and Flash plugin 10.1. Components like BitTorrent software and other Firefox plugins have been upgraded to the latest versions. A known issue lies in the protocol handling error when one double-clicks the computer icon on the desktop. Please follow the release announcement (in Chinese) to report other problems.
