NEW • Development Release: PC/OS 10.1 Beta |

Just one week after a new stable release, the developers of PC/OS, a user-friendly desktop distribution based on Xubuntu, present a new development version to their users: "This beta offers a look at what PC/OS 10.1 will look like. With this release there are several enhancements: Linux kernel is updated to version 2.6.29; core applications have been updated; OpenOffice.org 3.1.1 is included. This beta is nowhere near ready for a production environment. Things like simple installation to a hard disk could fail. As always, if you install this beta but suffer from data loss or hardware failure, we are blameless." Here is the brief release announcement.
