Development Release: Frugalware Linux 1.1 RC1 |
| Miklós Vajna has announced the availability of the first release candidate for Frugalware Linux 1.1 (code name "Getorin"), a general-purpose distribution for desktops and servers using Arch's Pacman as the package manager: "The Frugalware developer team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Frugalware 1.1rc1, the first release of the upcoming 1.1 stable release. A short and incomplete list of changes since 1.1pre2: Etoile is now part of the repository; major update on the graphical installer (fwife); package updates - Linux kernel 2.6.30.3, GnuTLS 2.8, more than 400 package updates, more than 100 new packages."
