Development Release: Resulinux 3.0 Test 1 |
| Marcos Setim has announced the availability of the first test release of Resulinux 3.0, a Brazilian desktop distribution and live DVD based on Debian GNU/Linux. After some eight months of development, the distribution is ready for the initial round of public testing, despite the missing system installer which has yet to be implemented. However, several new and improved features are already available, including: TexasFlood 2.8, a powerful replacement for SysVInit with an improved boot and memory manager; a much improved KDE 4.2.0; Splashy, a new boot-splash graphic; a new configuration panel by Valter Correia; I-Easy, a utility for installing applications.
