Development Release: Jibbed 5 RC |
| Zafer Aydoğan has announced the availability of the first release candidate for Jibbed 5, a NetBSD-based live CD for i686 and x86_64 processors: "Hello folks! I'm proud to present you the premiere of the first NetBSD live CD made for the amd64 port. As usual, this version contains the latest sources from the NetBSD-5 branch. It features select packages from pkgsrc, as well as auto-configuration for networking and graphics cards. This version contains the Xfce window manager and uses X.Org (base). It features VND compression and is only 405 MB in size. The minimum requirement is an i686 or compatible CPU and 128 MB RAM." Visit the project's home page to read the brief release announcement. | Jibbed is a (non-installable) live CD based on NetBSD. It is built from the latest NetBSD sources from the HEAD branch. The third-party applications provided on the CD are the latest versions, including experimental packages from wip-pkgsrc. |
