Development Release: Frugalware Linux 0.9 Pre 2 |
| Miklós Vajna has announced the availability of the second pre-release of Frugalware Linux 0.9: "The Frugalware developer team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of Frugalware 0.9pre2, the second technical preview of the upcoming 0.9 stable release. A short and incomplete list of changes since 0.9pre1: FUN -0.3.0, which now supports news notification (newsletters, releases, etc.); many less popular packages are no longer installed by default, reducing the required size of the default installation; replaced the ipw wireless drivers with the newer iwl ones; reworked the ROX environment, binary packages are available again; more than 2,700 small changes; package updates - GCC 4.3.1, Firefox 3.0, OpenOffice.org 2.4.1; new packages - icecc (a set of configuration tools for IceWM), libotr and irssi-otr, 10+ new Fortune modules, 20+ new games, more than 200 other new packages."
