Development Release: Molinux 4.0 Beta |
| Molinux is an Ubuntu-based desktop distribution developed by the regional government of Castilla la Mancha in Spain. The first beta release of the upcoming Molinux 4.0, now based on Ubuntu 8.04 "Hardy Heron", is available for download and testing. For this release, the developers have added a number of new applications, such as Cheese (a program for taking photos and videos with a webcam), Preload (a utility that accelerates the start-up of frequently used applications), Vinagre (a VNC client), SBackup and others. There is also an improved way of setting up graphic modes, while all of the previously included software packages have been updated to newer versions. This beta is considered feature complete.
