Development Release: KateOS 3.6 Beta |
| The first beta release of KateOS 3.6 is ready for testing: "KateOS 3.6 beta is out! It is enough to look at the version number to see that we have made quite a progress since the last release. We have improved the boot scripts, the package scripts and the way the packages are internationalized. With 3.6 you have better control over system services, and a simplified installation. Also, Software Suspend 2 - the system hibernator - is now supported by default. KateOS 3.6beta contains the following, among other things: kernel 2.6.19.3, glibc 2.5, X.Org 7.2, Xfce 4.4.1, GNOME 2.18.1, KDE 3.5.6, OpenOffice.org 2.2."
