Development Release: Ufficio Zero 0.8 |
| A new development build of Ufficio Zero, an Italian desktop-oriented distribution based on Ubuntu, has been released. The most important new feature of version 0.8 is the ability to install it to a hard disk directly from the live CD, thanks to the new graphical installer from Ubuntu 6.06.1. A major innovation present in this release is the distribution's integration with ufficioSamente.it, an Italian web community which enables easy publishing of web logs and sharing of photos and videos on the Internet. Ufficio Zero 0.8 is considered a "technology preview" and not yet ready for production machines; however those who wish to test the product and provide suggestions for improvements are welcome to try it.
