Development Release: OpenLab GNU/Linux 4.Z Beta |
| A. J. Venter has announced a new beta release of OpenLab GNU/Linux, version 4.Z and code name "Conina": "OpenLab is pleased to announce the release of OpenLab 4.Zbeta, available for download, or through limited public CD distribution." Among the major changes since the alpha release some three months ago are: "Improvements to sound detection; major look and feel enhancements for installer; KDE 3.5.4 with standard OpenLab patches; bug fixes to hotplug system and WiFi support; kernel 2.6.17.11; HFS iPod support; Amarok 1.4.2 with iTunes and libgpod support; new German installer translation; package synchronised to Slackware 11 RC1; Firefox 1.5.0.6...."
